About Crockett

Tobey Crockett, M.A., PhD is a California native with three generations of family in the Santa Barbara, Pasadena and Long Beach communities.  Her Cherokee great grandmother Frances is pictured here in a country western band with which she toured up and down the West Coast during the Depression.  Four steel string guitars and a ukulele: what a sound that must have been!  Coming from a musical and artistic family, creativity has always been a major part of Crockett's life and she wouldn't have it any other way.

This city girl was raised on the upper Westside of Manhattan by her single mom but is thrilled to make it back to her West Coast roots, finally fulfilling a life long dream of "living in the country" and growing tomatoes. Having traveled and done business in China, Germany, France, Austria and of course the good ole USA, "Doc Crockett" has had enough experience to know that she and husband Mark Onspaugh really hit the jackpot when they moved here to San Luis Obispo county in 2004.

Besides working on local issues, supporting her community and writing a newsletter about organic vegetables for the Clark Valley Farm CSA, Crockett also paints, writes and teaches creativity workshops and movement classes.  See her website www.tobeycrockett.com/ for more about these activities.

And please take a moment to read the business article Building Value Into the Life of Our Dreams which was featured in the blog of the Central Coast Women's Network founded by powerhouse Jacky Lopez.  This article discusses the importance of creating value for customers as well as maintaining ethical values in the business choices that we make.  This inspiring read has received a lot of positive feedback - Enjoy!
